The RX 9070 XT carries a $599 MSRP and sells for roughly $670 to $810 on the street right now.

The reason is a real number. Tech Insider's tracking puts the best available U.S. street price for the RTX 5090 at $5,199 this month, up from $4,699.99 in August and $4,299.99 in June. That is a $900 climb in one quarter for a card whose performance is identical.
